Small cars in Pakistan
Ever dreamed of driving an automobile which is not very tiny, compact and also not big, all over the place and unwieldy? One classification of cars fits this midway part between the two extremes and is known as small cars. Do not take the term in its literal meaning, these vehicles are just smaller than their contemporaries. Keep aside the dimensions and there is no feature, performance, engine capacity, transmission option which this family of cars looses out on. Consumer demand for economical vehicles has sparked a small car production focusing on dynamic new designing, safety, efficiency, performance and eco-friendly technology development. Car makers were made to realize that consumers don’t desire sheer mass and size if there aren’t other virtues to commensurate.
Common small cars in Pakistan
Using international classification guidelines, one is surprised to find that most of our normal everyday city cars would come under this category. Compacts are the largest of all small cars and examples include the Toyota Corolla, a recurrent top selling model in Pakistan, along with Honda Civic. These two models have been in the local market for many years now and have built a reputation of trust and dependability based on perennial high performing vehicles. In addition, not only do these models give their owners great value for money but also have impressive resale values despite depreciation which make them great investments to begin with.
A number of other models which come in this category are slowly making their way on the roads. German cars like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi’s A3 and A4 can also be spotted on the streets making their way around town. Other examples from Japanese car makers include Hyundai Elantra, Mitsubishi Lancer and Nissan Sentra. These are usually imported by dealers and agents and sold to the general public. There is nothing to say against performance, quality, engineering and designing, comfort, safety and driving abilities. However, it should be noted that replacing some parts might be tedious and expensive if specialized local dealerships are not available.
